Junior Cricket at SMCC
The Subiaco Marist Cricket Club runs a Community Junior Cricket programme for boys and girls from year 4 to year 12.

The club’s Junior Cricket programme is part of Metropolitan Junior Community Cricket (MJCC).
​​
The competition rules are governed by the MJCC and the competition is administered by WA Cricket.
Key Dates
Season starts: 12 & 13 October 2024
Last game before Christmas break: 7 & 8 December 2024
First game after Christmas break: 1 & 2 February 2025
Season finishes: 8 & 9 March 2025
Playing Days
Girl’s year groups - Years 4/5, 6/7, 8/9 and 10/11/12 play on Saturdays
Boy’s year groups - Years 6, 7 and 8 play on Saturdays
Boy’s year groups - Years 4, 5, 9 and 10/11 play on Sundays
Hours of Play
Stage 1
Year 4 & 5 - 8am to approximately 10:30am (T20 - 20 over games)

Stage 2
Year 6 & 7 - 8am to approximately 11:30am (30 over games)

Stage 3
Year 8 and upward - 8am to approximately 12:00 pm (T20 & 30 over games)

Player Age Restrictions
WA Cricket and the MJCC strongly recommends each year group competition is restricted to players no more than two years under that year group as at 30 June 2024. For example, you must be at least in Year 4 at 30 June 2024 to nominate to play in the Year 5 competition. If you are in Year 4 at 30 June 2023 you play in the Year 4 competition; and if circumstances permit, you may play in the Year 5 competition.
