Subiaco Marist Cricket Club has applied for $10,000 through Synergy’s 2026 Community Giving Fund to deliver our “Under Lights, Together” project. With more than 600 participants across our Blasters, junior, senior and veteran programs, the Club needs safer and more accessible training facilities that can accommodate our continued growth.

Limited lighting currently restricts training after school and work, particularly as daylight hours reduce throughout the cricket season. This places pressure on available training times and makes it difficult for our many teams to safely share the facilities. Improved lighting would extend the usable training hours, reduce congestion and provide a safer, higher-quality environment for players, coaches and volunteers.

If approved, the funding will allow the Club to install six new 400-watt LED floodlights and the associated electrical infrastructure at our cricket training nets. The completed project will benefit more than 600 players, including approximately 400 junior participants and 100 volunteer coaches and officials, while supporting future growth in participation—including girls’ and women’s cricket—and creating a lasting community asset for generations of local cricketers.​​​​​​​
