Subiaco Marist Cricket Club (SMCC) is a vibrant and inclusive sporting organisation based in Churchlands, Western Australia, with over 350 active playing members across junior and senior teams. Our primary goal is to strengthen community cricket participation through inclusive sports programs for youth and senior cricket club partnerships that promote both skill development and community wellbeing.

Key Focus

  1. Expand Junior Cricket Development Programs
We aim to grow our thriving junior division with a specific focus on launching and sustaining girls’ cricket teams—a vital step in providing equal opportunities and building pathways from junior to senior levels.

  2. Strengthen Senior Participation and Club Culture
Our club fosters a strong senior competition presence, with a focus on retaining talent and creating a welcoming, volunteer-led environment that reflects our community values.

  3. Secure Long-Term Sponsorships and Community Support
We are actively seeking community cricket sponsorship in Western Australia to sustain and expand our operations, provide equipment, cover ground hire fees, and support coaching development, particularly for youth and girls.

  4. Improve Facilities and Club Infrastructure
We aspire to maintain a high quality and competitive turf wicket. Our location in Newman College means that each year we need to contribute towards the cost of the full maintenance of the turf where the majority of the other clubs do receive infrastructure grants, we cannot so its the single most biggest expense .

  5. Enhance Mental Health and Community Wellbeing through Sport
Our programs prioritise mental resilience, physical activity, and social connection—core elements of youth and adult wellbeing.

  6. Leverage Corporate Partnerships for Social Impact
We invite organisations to align their corporate social responsibility through sports by partnering with us—creating shared value through sponsorship, in-kind support, or donations.
