Social Smash (8-15s version)

Never played cricket? No worries!
This is a game for everyone aged 8 to 15, and it’s all about fun, friendship, learning—and lots of feel-good vibes.

What’s it all about?
Social Smash is inclusive, fast-paced and welcoming. There are no “outs” in the usual sense—everyone gets a turn, everyone has a go. The goal is to have a fantastic time:

Fresh air. Sunshine. Big smiles.
New friends. New skills. New experiences.
Laughter and confidence with every game.

Why join in?
Because it’s crafted to be friendly to all levels—whether you’re trying cricket for the first time or just after something relaxed and social. Health, wellbeing, connection, and fun are the top priorities.

What makes it different?

Feature Details

Duration Games take about 60-90 minutes—short, sweet, fun.

TeamsTeams of 6 players.

Format One innings per team: 12 overs of 6 balls each.

Pitch & Field Pitch is about 16 m. Boundary roughly 30 m.

Ball Soft ball, so no heavy padding needed.

Equipment:We provide all the gear. Just bring yourself!

Fair play Everyone rotates through field positions. Everyone bats. Everyone scores.

Game styleFriendly, not too competitive. It’s about participation and enjoyment.

BonusWickets bring bonus runs. Every bit of effort gets rewarded.

We are making Friday nights even better. Refer to our canteen Menu above which will be available every alternative week. Bar will be open from 5pm onwards selling drinks (NOTE THAT NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS AND MUST BE CONSUMED IN OUR LICENCED AREA IN THE CLUB ROOMS). Parents can observe kids playing their kids game from our balcony.

5pm arrival for warm up and setup for a 530pm game until 630pm
