🏆 1st XI Premiers 🏆

Congratulations to captain Matthew Blake and our 1st XI on winning the 2nd grade premiership which also secures a promotion to 1st grade.

Dineth Jayakody took out the best on ground performance with his 119 and 1/18 following up his 100 from the semi final the week before. Zac Binning backed up Dineth with a very well fought 62. The boys finished up on 274 all out.

Day 2 was a long slog for the lads but they eventually got on top with tight bowling and eventually a steady flow of wickets, taking 7/30 to finish Bedford Morley off. Top performances with the ball were from club legend Adam Wray who took 5/72 from his 26.1 overs and renowned finals bowler, Lachie Ashton, who helped clean the tail up with his 3/5 from 4 overs.

Special mentions must go to Adam Wray, Jake Steed and Josh Richards who were part of the last side to be promoted to 1st grade in 2018/19.
